Your First Visit at Chiropractic By Dr. Ed

Here is our simple five-step process to become a new patient at Chiropractic By Dr. Ed Clinic in Peterborough.

STEP 1: PAPERWORK AND CONSULTATION

We strive to make your first visit to our office a comfortable experience. Please download and carefully fill out our new patient form found under the New Patient tab on the home page and bring it with you for your initial visit.. Or simply fill out the New Patient form when you arrive. These forms will give us vital information about you and your condition. Dr. Ed will then thoroughly consult with you about your condition to determine if chiropractic care is right for you.

STEP 2: EXAMINATION

After discussing your condition Dr. Ed will conduct a thorough exam. This exam includes standard postural, neurological, orthopedic, and physical testing. This important information will allow Dr. Ed to have a good understanding of your condition and how chiropractic may help you. It is rare, but if chiropractic care is not the answer for you we will refer you to a doctor who can help you. Nothing will be done without being fully explained to you, and without your consent.

STEP 3: X-RAYS

If you are a candidate for chiropractic care, spinal x-rays will be required. Your films will be accurately measured down to millimetres & degrees. If you have any CAT scan or MRI results of your spine, please bring the “radiologist reports” of these scans with you on your first visit. They can be easily obtained by calling your Doctor’s office & having them faxed to us. Fax number is (705) 742-2701.

STEP 4: REPORT OF FINDINGS/INSURANCE/PAYMENT

After all of your vital health information including forms, consultation and x-rays findings have been compiled, Dr. Ed will give you a thorough report of findings and explain all your treatment options. For those who have insurance coverage, we will provide you with all necessary receipts. For patients without insurance coverage, we offer several flexible payment plans. For automobile insurance cases, we bill the insurance company directly.

STEP 5: THE JOURNEY TOWARD OPTIMAL HEALTH BEGINS

Our chiropractic adjustments are gentle enough for children adults and seniors and may restore movement and function. A majority of people feel improvement even after just one adjustment!
